Discover the most beautiful fishing spots near the campsite

How about cooking and tasting freshly caught shellfish? Clams, pine nuts, cockles, winkles or oysters…

Near our campsite in La Barre de Monts, you will find many places where you can practice fishing. Both fun and entertaining, this is a perfect activity to do with your children to discover the treasures of the ocean.

To prepare your outing efficiently, equip yourself with good sneakers, a bucket to put your shells in and a scraper. You are now ready to scour the beaches in search of the most beautiful seafood.

The must-see spots

The beach of La Bergère, one kilometer from the campsite, is suitable for this type of activity (especially for pine nuts and shrimps).
The beach of Pont d’Yeu, ideal spot during high tides.
Under the bridge of Noirmoutier, at low tide the beach is full of shells.
Close to the campsite, you will find one of the most important spots of the fishermen in Vendée: the passage of the Gois. Shellfish are present in abundance. Fishing on foot is allowed all year round.

During your stay at our campsite at the gates of Noirmoutier, come and take a deep breath of fresh air and take the opportunity to explore the sea floor.
At the reception desk, the staff is at your disposal to inform you about the tides and to give you some tips to prepare your trip.

fishing is only practiced at low tide, remember to watch the schedules of high tides.
Also, do not forget that some rules must be respected during your fishing: minimum sizes and maximum quantities.
